The deadline to verify and/or request revisions to the wage-related data reported on Worksheet S-3 of the cost report is September 2, 2025. This is for PPS Hospitals to ensure accuracy before it impacts future reimbursement.
Specifically:
- The Area Wage Index (AWI) is used in calculating Medicare payments (DRG, OPPS, etc.) for FY 2027.
- This is your opportunity to confirm your data is accurately reflected in the Public Use File (PUF).
- You can request revisions or additions to your cost report data before the PUF is finalized.
- Potential to identify geographic reclassification opportunities.
