Reporting for CHIRP SFY23 Now Open

The second round of quality reporting for Comprehensive Hospital Increase Reimbursement Program (CHIRP) for state fiscal year 2023 (SFY23) is now open.

Reporting Requirements

The reporting period for CHIRP SFY23 Round 2 began on April 1, 2023 and closes on April 30, 2023. Participating providers must report data using the measurement period of January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022.

As a condition of participation in the program, participating providers must report data for all measures for which they are eligible. A participating provider that fails to submit the required data by the deadlines communicated by HHSC will be determined to be not in compliance with program eligibility requirements, will be removed from the program, and will have all SFY23 funds that it received recouped.

CHIRP SFY23 Round 2 Reporting Companion, Template, and Webinar

All participating providers received the reporting companion (instructions for completing and submitting the template), template and “Office Hours” information on Friday, March 31 via e-mail. The reporting companion, template, and other reporting materials are also available on the reporting portal bulletin board.

Additionally, HHSC will hold a reporting webinar to provide instruction on the reporting process and template. The CHIRP SFY23 Round 2 reporting webinar will be held on April 4th, 2023, at 2:00 PM CDT. Please register for the webinar at this link. A recording of the reporting webinar will be posted on the reporting portal bulletin board by April 5th.
