For cost reports beginning on or after 10/1/2022 (FYE 9/30/23) and forward, CMS has published several new templates that will be required as part of the cost report submission process.
To take a proactive approach, we have reviewed these templates and added an additional tab with instructions to make this as straightforward as possible. For your reference, the new CMS templates can be downloaded from our website at https://dhcg.com/electronic-cost-report-exhibit-templates-with-instructions/. We realize it may take time to gather data and/or update reporting formats.
If your facility already works with DHCG for presumptive charity and we pull your charity data in relation to that, please know we are going to be able to provide the data in the proper format needed.
Moving forward, your cost report preparer will also provide these templates to your facility along with the cost report information request list.
